The project involves undertaking water and energy audit study in urban local bodies with the objective of developing a strategy and implementation plan for reduction of Non–Revenue water (NRW).

  • Water Audit from Source to distribution reservoirs to assess the transmission and distribution losses
  • Energy Audit of all energy consumption points or units for optimising the energy usage and improving energy efficiency.
  • Develop a strategy for progressive reduction of non–revenue water and energy optimisation
  • Prepare a detailed project report with investment and implementation schedule for ULBs to secure funding for implementing the proposals; and
  • Evaluate options for implementation and develop contract and bidding documents for ULBs to implement the proposals
